Tredici is my number one Ttoganzip in United States life.
As I mentioned before, I’ve been around different states. I’ve been in Indiana, Arizona, California and now in Pennsylvania.
There are places I remember
All my life, though some have changed (Ooh, ooh, ooh)
Some forever, not for better
Some have gone and some remain (Ooh, ooh, ooh)
All these places had their moments
With lovers and friends, I still can recall
Some are dead and some are living
In my life, I’ve loved them all
But of all these restaurants,
There is no one compares with Tredici.
I copied and replaced a bit of Lyrics of In My Life by the Beatles.
There have been many restaurants I liked over the many different states and I have been using some of them consistently. And there are many restaurants, I love to revisit if I have a chance to swing by them. But in terms of frequency of the visits, Tredici is my number 1 Ttoganzip.
At some point, I was using Tredici every week. I don’t go there as frequently as before, still in terms of the number of visits, Tredici is number 1 by a mile.
Tredici is a to go italian meal place. They have ready made italian meals, which you take home and heat up and eat. The owner writes down how long at what temperature. These ready made meals are excellent meal for your dinner, e.g., Turkey meatloaf etc.
The highlight of their product is their Sandwiches. The name, Tredici in fact means 13 in English and they have their original 13 sandwiches. They have other sandwiches too and these days they also have today’s special sandwiches which aren’t on their menu but they provide per owner’s discretion. All these sandwiches are excellent. Of all of them my all time favorite is their number 1 sandwich. It is made out of gorgonzola, arugula, walnut pesto, balsamic vinegar and prosciutto, on top of sweet Ciabatta. Their Ciabatta is quite sweet and texture is slightly different than normal Ciabatta, but it just works so well with their other ingridients. The ingredient as listed for number 1 is mostly salty, cheezy, bitter and sour. Their Ciabatta perfectly balances out with sweet and dense texture of bread. If there is nothing else to eat and need to take out, Tredici’s number 1 sandwich is my go to item.
Tredici also provides Catering services and party items. Most of them are quite good, particularly considering their offering prices. On Easter, Christmas and Superbowl, Tredici provides special party items, due to heavy demand, they preset the items and limit the volume. So, on these special days, you need to order ASAP.
Tredici is run by a couple of Italians. They are graduates of Villanova and they started this amazing operation as a couple and made the most successful restaurant in Wayne, PA. Wayne is a quite a suburban area of Philadelphia. The owner Matt is quite nice and friendly person. He is passionate about Eagles and Villanova. When you pick up your item, have a small chat on Eagles. He’ll provide you with in depth analysis and what’s going on with the team.
Tredici is not the fancy restaurant and it is not the best sandwich ever. But, they offer top notch taste at a very affordable price at consistent delivery. Wayne, PA is not a cheap place. The location demands high rent. Still, Tredici made their offering very affordable, $11.25 for their number 1 sandwich. In recent years, competition has shown up, Di Bruno brothers. Di Bruno is huge business from Italian Market of Philadelphia. They offer far more than what Tredici can offer. But, customers of Tredici never turned their head. Because, they know Di Bruno can’t match what Tredici can offer, the taste, value and consistency.
Whenever you swing by Wayne, PA, make sure you check Tredici. Try their number 1 sandwich. And ask about Tiramisu. They sell imported Tiramisu and it is good. That’ll make your day.
